Norton Company, the first abrasives manufacturer to offer distributors real time direct access to online order processing and inventory availability, has now launched Wireless Abrasive Connection. Distributors can access information on Norton Company's stock and non-stock items through any hand held organizer that uses Palm OS software.

From just about any location in the continental United States, distributors can determine product availability, pricing, lead-time and specific existing order status information and even enter orders on all Norton abrasives.

Norton Company has been a leading user of electronic communications to help distributors be more responsive to the needs of industrial abrasives users. Going wireless will allow any Norton distributor sales representative the ability to access current information on purchasing agents' most frequently asked order processing questions.

Distributors who currently access the existing Norton Company's private extranet site, AbrasiveConnection.com, will use the same password to access the new wireless version through hand held organizers that use the Palm operating system.
