Norwalk, CT - The VARILEX WSF 1600 speed-controlled angle grinder from CS Unitec is the most powerful single-handed angle grinder in its class. With a powerful 12.27 Amp (1350 Watt) motor and infinite variable-speed control (2000 - 7300 RPM), this machine can handle a multitude of grinding and polishing tasks.

Designed and developed for heavy industrial use, the VARILEX differs from a conventional angle grinder in its ability to change discs in seconds, without tools, using the patented EASY-LOCK clamping nut and spindle lock button. The spindle thread connection is a standard 5/8"-11 UNC. The weight is only 5.2 lbs. A new, ergonomic design, including a balanced handle, allows fatigue-free grinding.

Ideal for use with both flap discs and grinding and cutting wheels, this machine's sensitive variable-speed control offers a number of advantages. The service life of the flap disc is doubled and glazing of the disc and heat deformation on the workpiece is prevented. Additionally, the noise level is drastically reduced.

The VARILEX is available with safety guards from 4-1/2" to 7" for use with various-size grinding discs of 4" to 7" dia. CS Unitec also offers a wide range of flap discs for cutting, grinding and polishing to a mirror finish.
