Details

Three new insert grades for cast iron turning are designed for optimal performance in specific machining situations. The multi-layer CVD-coated KC9315 grade provides excellent wear resistance and long tool life in high-speed, high-productivity operations. Grade KT315, a multilayer PVD-coated cermet, produces superior workpiece finishes in medium- to high-speed light roughing and fine finishing. Finally, multilayer-coated grade KC9325 features a hard aluminum oxide outer coating and a strong substrate designed to provide flexibility of application in a variety of ductile and cast irons. The new grades are available in a range of geometries, including application-focused styles, negative, positive, and positive screw-on inserts.
