Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), global supplier of flexible honing tools and industrial brushes, is announcing technical resources that explain how to choose and use NamPower composite hub wheels for burr removal, edge radiusing, and surface finish improvement. NamPower Resource Guide describes product specifications and operating parameters for high-performance nylon abrasive wheel brushes.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) - Brush Research Manufacturing (BRM), American maker of flexible hones and industrial brushing tools, is announcing technical resources that explain how to select and use NamPower nylon abrasive wheels for removing burrs, blending edges, and improving surface finish. NamPower composite hub wheel brushes feature sturdy cores, high abrasive nylon filament densities, and a balanced construction

As BRM’s NamPower Resource Guide explains, manufacturers need to consider product specifications and operating parameters during power brush selection. Brush diameter, face width, trim length, and abrasive grit are important product specifications. Cut depth, revolutions per minute (RPM), and feed rate are key operating parameters.

How to Select NamPower Wheel Brushes

Both the NamPower Resource Guide and a related BRM article describe the relationship between brush diameter, flexibility, and aggressiveness. Wheel brush buyers can also learn how burr size, part shape, radius requirements, and final finish help determine which NamPower nylon abrasive wheel is the best choice for deburring and finishing extrusion cut-offs, machine parts, shafts, gears, and turbine blades.

Part manufacturers can also learn about the importance of face width, trim length, and grit selection during NamPower wheel brush selection. As BRM’s technical resources explain, the brush tool’s face width must be wide enough to deburr the part’s edge, but narrow enough to reach part recesses. Both trim length and grit selection affect filament flexibility and aggressiveness.

How to Use NamPower Nylon Abrasive Wheels

The NamPower Resource Guide and related BRM article also explain how product specifications determine cut depth, revolutions per minute (RPM), and feed rate. Cut depth varies with trim length and grit selection, but is not dependent on brush diameter. A table in the NamPower Resource guide lists cut depths for specific filament diameters and grit sizes.

BRM’s technical book also lists recommended RPMs by wheel brush diameter, and under wet and dry conditions. As a rule, the desired level of deburring and edge radiusing determine the proper feed rate for NamPower nylon abrasive wheel brushes. With both the 6-inch and 8-inch diameter wheels, stay under 2,500 surface feet per minute (SFPM) for dry applications and 3,500 SFPM for wet applications.
