FANUC Robotics' SMART Center Southeast To Host Intelligent Robotic Applications Forum

Huntersville, NC - FANUC Robotics America, Inc. will demonstrate its latest intelligent robotic solutions for assembly, machine tending, packaging, palletizing, bin picking, coating and arc welding at FANUC Robotics' SMART Center in Huntersville, N.C. (Charlotte), Sept. 19-20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"FANUC Robotics' SMART Centers are committed to providing world-class support for manufacturing with applications, robotics, and technology for our customers and integrators," said Jim Kosmala, general manager, FANUC Robotics Southeast.

The event will feature robot system demonstrations, interactive presentations, and breakout seminars on the company's new LR Mate 200iC LEAN (light, efficient, accurate, nimble) robot and iRVision products including examples of 2D and 3D robotic vision applications. Also, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with automation experts to discuss their own manufacturing challenges.

In addition to the LR Mate 200iC mini robot and iRVision (built-in vision), FANUC Robotics will demonstrate the new ARC Mate 100iC arc welding robot, M-430iA high-speed picking robot, M-410iB palletizing robot, R-2000iB material handling robot, P-250iA and P-50iA industrial coating robots, force sensing, offline programming, and simulation.

"We've designed this event for new and current robot customers," said Kosmala. "Whether a novice or expert, we're offering attendees the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of robot operations, programming, electrical interface, and workcell planning. In addition, we'll present details on our latest technologies including vision, force and torque sensing, and motion control."
