The new CoroGrip high precision chucks are designed to offer twice the clamping force of shrink-fit chucks and three times that of ordinary hydraulic chucks, plus 20-sec tool changes.

The chucks are well suited for high speed machining applications from finishing to heavy roughing at speeds up to 40,000 rpm. The chuck are able to clamp a variety of shanks including steel, cemented carbide, plain cylindrical, or Weldon/Whistle notch, with or without collets.

The chucks feature a hydro-mechanical design that grips the tool firmly and safely in place without slippage, according to the manufacturer, resulting in very low runout and exceptional tool balance. The design is said to permit easy length pre-setting and allows clamping of shanks halfway in without affecting performance. In addition, incorrect handling will not damage the chuck, and no maintenance is required.
