Sandvik Coromant Companyn 107 and CoroTurn 111 positive rake inserts feature a sharp, positive insert shape for low cutting forces and good edge strength. According to the manufacturer, this combination counteracts vibrations and results in better surface finish and closer tolerances.

Model 107 inserts are designed for internal and external turning. Externally, they turn small, long, or slender components. Internally, they are said to enhance boring operations with small and medium hole dimensions (0.750- to 3.000-in.), and long overhang applications.
