Lyndex Corporation-Balance toolholders arrive pre-balanced and can be easily re-balanced to fine-tune cutting to the tightest specifications. The toolholders use a series of tapped holes surrounding the tool's centerline and small set screws and weights to achieve balance. Since the holes are drilled parallel to, not perpendicular to, the holders' centerline, weight location is not depth-sensitive. The arrangement eliminates weight depth sensitivity, allowing quick re-balancing, and eliminates the need for semi-permanent screw attachment. The holders are available in 30-, 35-, and 40-taper models pre-balanced to G1.0 or better at 20,000 rpm, as well as 50-taper models pre-balanced to G1.5or better at 15,000 rpm.
