Fansteel VR/Wesson-Plantsvilleline of carbide inserts is available for applications including turning, milling, and threading. For milling, a large inventory of ANSI and ISO standard face milling designs are offered, as are On-Edge milling inserts in CDE and LNE styles. Milling inserts are available in uncoated, CVD coated, and PVD coated grades.
For turning, the manufacturer supplies ANSI standard shapes and sizes in negative and positive geometries for heavy roughing to light finishing operations. Threading and grooving tools include precision-ground "dogbone", On-Edge triangles, and VR/Notch styles. Threading applications include V, J, Acme, Buttress, and API. Grooving applications include O-ring and snap-ring grooves.
