Extended Flute Cutter

ISCAR Metals, Inc.iameter flexible extended flute cutter is designed for heavy-duty applications. The device has a cutting length of 200 mm, which can be extended to 250 mm by coupling on a 50 mm cap.

The cutter has a lefthand helix that provides high stability in peripheral cutting, even at large depths of cut. A self-clamping seat — which can lessen the chance of damage — is mounted in each pocket to protect the pocket, the cutter body, and the cap.

In addition, the cutter is equipped with overlapping inserts in each flute (providing three full-effective flutes), which increases productivity and output by using higher table feeds. This type of flute design also delivers a large volume of chip evacuation.
