The tools incorporate a self-locking mechanism that eliminates the need for high hydraulic pressure to maintain clamp force. Clamping takes place when users add hydraulic pressure to the chuck via either a portable manual hydraulic pump or a pneumatic model that uses shop air.
Balanced by design and suitable for spindle speeds to 40,000 rpm, the holders work with cylindrical, Weldon, and whistle notch shanks, among others. They can handle tool shank diameters from 0.118 to 1.260 in.
