According to the manufacturer, the setup can improve machining productivity in several ways. First, it increases the number of operations that can be performed during a machining cycle, improving spindle utilization. Machining productivity is also improved by part density on the small-footprint unit, which reduces unproductive spindle movement to a minimum. Finally, part accuracy is improved because parts don't need to be moved from station to station.
