Kreg Tool Expands Ionic Drive Power Tool Ecosystem

Kreg Tool Company is excited to announce that it has expanded its 20V Ionic Drive power tool ecosystem with the launch and new Blue Ion battery options to give woodworkers, makers, and builders more capability, more versatility, and more ways to tackle the projects they’ve been wanting to build.

The expansion builds on Kreg’s initial power tool offerings that were launched in October 2025, bringing greater depth to the Ionic Drive family. From high-torque impact wrenches and compact hammer drills to a shop blower, wet/dry vac, and angle grinder, the new lineup is designed to grow alongside the ambitions of the people using it.

More Power, More Categories, More Possibilities
This Ionic Drive expansion introduces tools across five new categories, each engineered to meet the specific demands of woodworking environments and the builders who work in them.

Hammer Drills
Two new hammer drills lend greater versatility to the standard drilling and driving experience. The 20V Ionic Drive 1/2″ Compact Hammer Drill and the 1/2″ High Speed Hammer Drill are ideal for nearly any project, deliver ample performance to bore through tough hardwoods, concrete, and masonry. The high-speed version offers a boost mode that delivers up to 2,500 RPM for ultra-clean drilling in wood projects.

Shop Blower
The Kreg 20V Ionic Drive Shop Blower keeps workspaces clear and projects moving. This high-powered blower brings 200 MPH max speed and 100 CFM flow rate for fast, efficient cleaning in every shop.

Wet/Dry Vac with HEPA
The Kreg 20V Ionic Drive Wet/Dry Vac with HEPA brings professional-grade dust and debris management to the cordless platform. HEPA filtration captures up to 99.97% of fine particles, making it especially well-suited for woodworking environments where air quality matters. A replacement HEPA filter is available separately to keep it performing at its best.

Angle Grinder
The Kreg 20V Ionic Drive 4 ½” – 5″ Angle Grinder — featuring six speeds and up to 9,000 RPM — is a versatile tool for material-removal, sanding, and power carving, expanding what builders can accomplish.

Impact Wrenches
The Kreg 20V Ionic Drive High Torque 1/2″ Impact Wrench — joined by 1/2” and 3/8″ Compact Impact Wrenches — brings up to 1,200 ft-lbs of breakaway torque for serious jobs, and a specialized Assist Mode to handle tough mechanical and building applications without damaging bolts, lugs, or studs.

Blue Ion Battery Platform: More Power, Faster
Alongside the new tools, Kreg is introducing two new Blue Ion battery options and a charging upgrade designed to keep pace with a fuller, more demanding tool lineup.

The Kreg 20V Blue Ion 6.0Ah Battery Pack and 8.0Ah Battery Pack deliver extended runtime for longer sessions and more demanding applications. The new Kreg 20V Blue Ion Super Charger provides 4x faster charger over the standard Kreg charger to ensure more time building and less time waiting.
