Machining center vise with expanded jaw opening

The new Kurt D675 Vise part holding capacity has been expanded to a full 7.5-in., a 25 percent increase over the D60 model. Designed to hold parts where datums, flatness and parallelism is important, this vise is ideal for precision bore, tap, drill, grind and finish operations requiring close tolerance repeatability.

Ideal for precision part clamping on machining centers, mills and grinders, the D675 Vise is made of 80,000-PSI ductile iron. It has the strength and rigidity to hold all types of parts made of die cast aluminum, steel, and iron while it absorbs and dampens machine vibration.

Added new D675 features include: machined side rails for precision alignment; stationary jaw with integral key and larger fasteners that reduce deflection by 50 percent; and powder coat paint that resists peeling. Incorporating the time-proven, patented AngLock design which assures the movable jaw does not lift, the D675 vise has a special, friction reducing, needle bearing thrust collar which increases jaw clamping pressure. The vise bed and jaw plates are hardened for extra ruggedness.

The D675 bed height is matched to size 2.875-in. (73.025 mm) ±0.0005-in. The patented "O" ring pull down feature is standard. The extra capacity and strength of the D675 vise insures handling the highest horsepower milling cuts. And it clamps rigidly with 0.001-in. repeatability. Another feature of this new model is that parts from the previous D675 body style are interchangeable with the new D675 vise.

Kurt D675 Vises can be equipped with InnerLock Jaw Plates to minimize setup time. These jaws have a reversible feature and take under a minute to install. The reversible feature means each jaw plate can be mounted in two directions so it does the work of two standard jaw plates.
Additional accessories include swivel bases, which allow positioning in 1-degree increments, Groove Lock workstops, which don't interfere with part or spindle, step keys for aligning vise to the machine table, and torque handles for faster, accurate part clamping.
