Makita Releases Two New XGT Framing Nailers, And New Framing Nailer Accessory For Formwork

New battery-powered framing nailers deliver the performance of pneumatic, and new proud-setting nose adapter is ideal for formwork

Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools, power equipment, and accessories, has released two cordless Framing Nailers for the XGT platform, the 40V max XGT 30º Clipped Head 3-1/2" Framing Nailer (GNB01) and the 40V max XGT 21º Full Round Head 3-1/2" Framing Nailer (GNB02). Both of the new Framing Nailers deliver the power of pneumatic without the hassles of cords and compressors.

Makita also released the new Proud-Setting Nose Adapter (1916P4-2, sold separately) with an extended nose profile to keep nails proud, simplifying temporary formwork​. The Adapter is for use with the new XGT Framing Nailers (GNB01, GNB02) as well as the 18V LXT Framing Nailers (XNB03, XNB07).

• 30º Clipped Head 3-1/2" Framing Nailer (GNB01) - The 30º Clipped Head Framing Nailer drives full clipped-head nails into dense engineered lumber with power and ease. It drives up to 1,020 framing nails on a single charge using a 40V XGT 2.5Ah Battery (battery not included).
• 21º Full Round Head 3-1/2" Framing Nailer (GNB02) - The 21º Full Round Head 3-1/2" Framing Nailer drives full round head nails into dense engineered lumber with power and ease. It drives up to 1,020 framing nails on a single charge using a 40V XGT 2.5Ah Battery (battery not included).

Nail Depth Adjustment
The Framing Nailers feature an anti-slip nose for controlled nailing at an angle. They both feature a “tool-less" depth adjustment engineered for more precise flush and countersink nailing. Each Framing Nailer weighs only 11.9 lbs. with a 40V XGT battery (battery not included) for reduced operator fatigue.

Nail Capacity and Accessories
The GNB01 features a rear lock and load magazine that holds up to 58 nails, while the GNB02 also features a rear lock-and-load magazine that holds 41 nails. An accessory for both the GNB01 and the GNB02 is the Extended Capacity Magazine that holds 97 nails for the GNB01 (1914P1-6, sold separately), and 78 nails for the GNB02 (1914P2-4, sold separately). Another accessory for both the GNB01 and the GNB02 is the Proud Nailer Nose Adapter (1916P4-2), which ensures the nail head remains above the surface for easy removal. The Proud Nose Adapter is ideal for use in non-permanent structures including scaffolding, framework, and bracing.

Convenience Features
Convenience features include a built-in L.E.D. light that illuminates the work area, a belt hook with a retractable, extra-wide tool hook that secures the tool when not in use, and an ergonomically designed handle with a rubberized soft grip that provides increased comfort.
