Koma Precision, Inc.r small job lots and as a low-cost alternative to automatic pallet exchange systems, the International Setup Saver manual pallet shuttle system for horizontal machining centers can reduce spindle downtime by permitting near-continuous production. All fixturing is handled ahead of time offline. The system speeds production by permitting any number of pallets in process simultaneously, which can boost efficiency and maximize machining time.
While the center is completing a cycle, the loaded pallet is sent to the front of the center where the operator has complete access; this allows for quick loading and offloading and making fast workpiece adjustments.
The system requires no external power source, is available for new and existing centers, and can use existing pallets from an OEM.
