Within the Multi Bore family of boring tools is the "Self-Balancing" fine boring head. Wohlhaupter was the first to introduce this concept and many competitors have attempted to follow suit. This precision boring head allows tool assemblies to remain in balance at speeds up to 3200 SFM. These heads are available for boring diameter range from 1.142" to 5.118". The self-balancing feature provides extremely smooth operation, improved finishes, tighter tolerances and increased tool life.
