Nematron completes acquisition, launches regional centers

PC-based industrial control producer Nematron Corp. (Ann Arbor, MI) has completed its acquisition of A-OK Controls Engineering Inc. (Auburn Hills, MI). The deal adds approximately 100 application engineers with automotive industry experience to Nematron's workforce.

A-OK Controls will continue to operate as an independent business unit of Nematron, providing integration services for Nematron products and those of other automation vendors as well.

A-OK's headquarters will also be the site for Nematron's Midwest Regional Automation Center. The Automation Center will provide integration of Nematron's open architecture PC-based control products with third-party systems and devices, and include training facilities. Planning is underway for additional Nematron Automation Centers in strategic locations around North America and Europe.
