NuSlice 5
IBM, one of the worlds leading companies, has been evaluating the product for the past 18 months. With all laboratory and production trials completed IBM is expected to go into world wide use of this product by the end of Q1 2000.
NuGenTec's NuSlice 5, ultra high purity, slicing and dicing fluid was formulated for thin-film heads and silicon wafers. With mobile ion impurities lower than 0.5 ppm in dilution, NuGeneration Technologies is lowering the bar once again on purity of aqueous products. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is eliminated with conductivities greater than 2,000 MS/cm, in dilution. Reduced heat build-up during cutting results in improved surface finishes, less edge chipping and surface scratching. Faster cutting speeds and better kurf removal are other added benefits of NuSlice 5. NuSlice 5 offers better cleanability over currently available products on the market, due to its 100% aqueous formula. With no oils, insolubles or anionic ingredients a cleaner more residue free part is attainable.
Formulated to prevent attack on the substrate. NuSlice 5 at a pH of 8.0 will not attack aluminum, copper, gallium, nickel, silicon, titanium or their oxides. Designed to be run at 5% by volume with DI water, NuSlice 5 is very economical to use. Providing cost savings in: fewer chipped edges, longer tool life, longer coolant sump life, ease of disposal, improved cleanability.
