N/A HQC Quick-Change collet systems has been expanded to include all CNC lathes with A2-5 and A2-7 spindles, all Hardinge CNC lathes, and multi-spindle automatics made by Acme-Gridley, Cone, New Britain, and Wickman. The collets can be changed from one size to another in less than 20 sec, providing greater uptime, especially on multi-spindle automatics. Chucking forces are higher than jaw chucks and even higher than solid and master collets. The extra gripping force results in tool life increases and faster machining. The collets are shorter than standard spindle adapters, providing more work area and the ability to machine closer to the spindle for better finished parts.
