Jergens, Inc.Ball Lock quick-change fixture mounting system is designed to allow users to quickly locate and lock fixture plates to subplates.
The manufacturer states that the patented system combines their Ball Lock mounting products with the convenience of toggle clamp actuation. By throwing Jergens, Inc.lever, the operator can immediately locate and lock a fixture plate to subplate or machine base, decreasing fixture changeover time.
System repeatability is ±0.0005-in. (±0.013 mm), which can eliminates the need to indicate fixture position. The new system requires no tools and has no loose components. Mounting shanks can be encapsulated into fixture plates if desired, and the system can replace conventional Ball Lock components currently used in existing fixtures.
