Well-Suited for Oil & Gas, Power Gen Components

Troy, MI (Vocus) - Seco Tools has announced the expansion of its Perfomax™ indexable insert drill family with the new SD600 modular drill system designed specifically for large and deep hole drilling applications such as those found in the oil and gas and power generation sectors. The SD600 modularity offers flexibility that allows for a wide range of adjustments and achieves cost savings through increased output and lower tool cost.

The SD600 system comes in a diameter range of 60 – 160mm and drilling depths of up to 10xD. It features Seco's strong square inserts with four cutting edges available in universal grade T2000D, offering both wear resistance and toughness or T3000D for applications requiring a tougher grade. The new modular system relies upon a Graflex connection, which offers rigidity and precision similar to monobloc toolholders.

The Performax line of indexable insert drills is capable of very high feeds and speeds and comes in a large range of diameters drills and lengths. For more information on Seco's Perfomax family, visit http://www.secotools.com/en/Global/Products/Holemaking/Drilling/Perfomax/
