The Bilz GNCK self-reversing tapping attachment was designed to eliminate the need to stop and reverse the machine spindle during each tapping cycle. Engineered for high-production tapping operations on CNC machining centers and special-purpose machines, the attachment incorporates a length compensation feature that provides consistent thread depth control to 0.001 in. at speeds to 4,000 rpm. A locking torque support device permits use of the unit in machines equipped with automatic tool changers. The attachment is also available with provisions for coolant flow up to 50 bar.
