The unit is manufactured from a tool steel engineered by the manufacturer to produce clear, legible marks and perform from 10 to 25% longer than other materials while being non-spalling in service. The marker's holder can handle a single or double row of characters in type sizes to 0.5 in. Its one-piece, turned shank construction minimizes weight while allowing use in heavy-duty service.
