T.M. Smith Tool International non-torque, NTA ANSI and metric style ball drive tap adapters are interchangeable in tap holders that use six ball drive styles. The ball lock style uses six balls in the holder to lock the adapters in place and provide increased driving ability over other conventional straight-shank types.
The "0" size adapters are for taps under 0.25-in.-dia. including 12, 10, 8, 6 and below thread sizes. This adapter style is the first in a planned series of sizes that will ultimately include a "0" size NTLA adjustable length tap adapter, straight shank adapter, DuraFloat adapter, and a tension/compression adapter.
