Tapping Systems
SITH Tap Holders are designed for use on machines that have synchronized feed and spindle rotation and sufficient positioning accuracy to not require radial float. A coolant seal and internal porting permit use of through-the-spindle high-pressure coolant or air to flush chips.
CCTH Tap Holders are designed for close center distance applications, with length compensation stroke. They have integral, dedicated tap adaptors. Longer reach can be obtained by ordering TMS-EXT extensions.
FITH Tap Holders provide radial float and are designed for use on machines that have synchronized feed and spindle rotation. This holder provides low-friction ball bearing floating drive.
ACTH Tap Holders provide adjustable tension and compression length compensation. This holder can be easily adjusted in the field to suit different tapping requirements. Ideal for use on NC machines.
LCTH Tap Holders provide radial float and tension/compression length compensation. Exceptionally smooth performance is provided by low-friction ball bearing float and lead compensating drives.
