The Bilz Gnck Self-Reversing Tapping Attachment with Stands Production Machining Conditions

The Bilz GNCK tapping unit is engineered for high production tapping operations on CNC machining centers and special purpose machines. Equipped with the GNCK reversing head, it ends the need to stop and reverse the direction of the spindle, which prevents wear and tear on the machine spindle and bearings.

The GNCK tapping unit incorporates a length compensation feature with a ball release system that operates when in reverse, enabling consistent thread depth control to 0.001" at speeds up to 4,000 rpm. The tool holder's robust design, incorporating a hardened steel reversing gear, allows it to withstand rigorous production tapping with high reliability and low maintenance requirements.

The tap is securely clamped in the GNCK unit with a precision collet. In applications such as thread forming where high torque is generated, an additional square driver can be used.
