The BMT 100-Station Balancing System allows precision balancing of tool holders as well as rotor-type workpieces within a 95-percent unbalance reduction ratio, in a single balancing plane
The BMT 100-Station Balancing System allows precision balancing of tool holders as well as rotor-type workpieces within a 95-percent unbalance reduction ratio, in a single balancing plane. This compact, full-function unit can be used on any stable surface, and requires no special foundation. The BMT Balancing System is a companion product to the new Bilz Thermogrip thermic tool clamping system.

Balancing of tools or workpieces is accomplished by adding or removing material, or through the use of balancing rings available with the system. Automatic positioning is accomplished using a laser pointer marking aid. The user-friendly balancing system is operated via menu-guided programming, and a multi-language operator dialog is provided.

The system also features a balancing speed from 500 to 2,000 rpm, and can accommodate tools or workpieces up to 8 kg (18 lb.) in weight.

In an era of increasing machine operational speeds, the BMT 100-Station Balancing System was developed to counter the effects of unbalance that can impair tool and machine performance. Bilz engineers are confident that the use of this system will reduce wear on valuable machine spindles and tools, while increasing machine efficiency and tool life. Well-balanced tools can also improve surface quality and workpiece geometry.
