Tool Presetters
The TM310 is a contact-type presetter with a dial indicator that sets and measures tools with a maximum diameter of 12.20-in. and a maximum height of 19.69-in. Equipped with TMA 21 measuring electronics, the presetter requires no special operator training to allow accurate toolsetting. Resolution of the opto-electronic glass scales is 0.0002- in., and measuring accuracy can be increased for the X-axis using electronic compensation and angle correction.
The TM250 is a non-contact presetter with a 110-mm (4.33-in.), 20× magnification projector that sets and measures tools with a maximum diameter of 9.84-in. and maximum tool height of 19.69-in. Measurement resolution is 0.0001-in. The manufacturer states that the presetter's user-friendly measuring electronics require no additional operator training.
Finally, the TM4 is a motorized presetter with a 150-mm, 20× magnification projector that handles tool diameters up to 23.62-in. and tool heights up to 35.43-in. Also constructed of aluminum alloy, the machine measures diameters by traversing the tool towards the projector. Motorized or joystick-actuated rapid adjustment eliminates physical contact during measuring operation, and large, ergonomic handwheels allow fine adjustment accuracy in 1-µm increments.
