KONICA MINOLTA Adds New magicolor® 2490MF

Mobile, AL - KONICA MINOLTA PRINTING SOLUTIONS U.S.A., INC. recently introduced its color laser, the magicolor 2490MF, which combines essential business functions--Print, Copy, Scan, and Fax--plus Camera Direct Photo Print into one convenient machine. According to the company, the magicolor 2490MF provides cost-conscious, productivity-driven SMBs with the vital office tools they need in a single, cost-effective unit. The magicolor 2490MF joins the magicolor 2480MF color laser, which earned the Buyer's Laboratory "Pick of the Year".

The new magicolor addition is designed so that customers no longer need to devote space to several single-function machines in different locations or to spend the time and money for operation and maintenance. With four essential office functions plus camera direct printing in a single device, the magicolor 2490MF features a space-saving design that makes it perfect for almost any workspace. In addition, with a low acquisition cost and small cost-per-page, black-and-white or full-color laser documents and photographs won't break the budget. Time-consuming and costly outsourcing is now a thing of the past because professional-quality color documents are always at the fingertips with in-house production.

With the magicolor 2490MF, it is easy to produce, laser-quality color prints, copies, scans, fax documents, and photos. Featuring 2400 x 600 dpi print quality and KONICA MINOLTA Simitri® Polymerized Toner, the printer generates vibrant colors, crisp text, detailed graphics, smooth halftones, and realistic photographs, regardless of the media type used. Uniformly sized toner particles and quality control ensure that Simitri Polymerized Toner cartridges provide consistent, accurate color. In addition, enhanced Automatic Image Density Control (eAIDC) automatically calibrates the print engine for optimal color quality.

The magicolor 2490MF also allows for documents and photos to be scanned in detailed 24-bit color over the network directly to email for sharing with one or more recipients throughout the world. Customers can also scan hard copies to a PC with ScanSoft PaperPort SE from Nuance and then annotate or edit them; save them in PDF, JPEG, or TIFF format; or convert them to editable text using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature. Both the flatbed glass and the standard automatic document feeder support documents up to legal size (8.5" x 14").
