Rockwell's New Dynamic 20-Volt Brushless Drill-Driver Includes 10-Year Motor Warranty

The new Rockwell 20V MaxLithium Brushless Drill-Driver’s motor increases battery run time by up to 50 percent per charge over standard brushed motors. The brushless motor has computer-controlled power distribution, which improves motor efficiency and durability by reducing heat, friction and wear.

In fact, owning a Rockwell cordless tool saves the owner up to 70 percent versus competitors’ due to battery replacement costs.

Inside the brushless drill-driver’s body, carbon brushes have been eliminated altogether to create a motor that’s maintenance free. The new electrically commutated motor reduces noise, friction, heat build-up and wear for longer motor life. Precise internal software controls (smart chips) provide the electromagnetic current for the most efficient conversion of electricity into mechanical energy. Since less energy is wasted, battery power lasts longer.

The brushless drill-driver is powered by a 20V MaxLithium, 2.0 Ah battery for longer run time and high working efficiency. The battery also affords more charge cycles with minimal self-discharge. The two-speed gearbox has no-load speeds of 0-600 and 0-2000. Its maximum torque is 531 in./lbs. The ½ in. metal chuck has 18+1 clutch positions to handle a variety of drilling and driving jobs. The drill also features an LED light to illuminate the work area. The light stays on for about 10 seconds once the trigger is released. The tool’s drilling capacity in wood is 1-1/2 in. and ½ in. in steel.

The 20V brushless drill-driver includes two 2.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, a one-hour charger and one double-ended bit and soft bag for storage. The drill-driver is covered by Rockwell’s 3-year warranty and the motor has a 10-year warranty. Once the tool is registered, it’s eligible for Rockwell’s Batteries For Life program.
