    With SURFCAM Velocity you can dynamically manage tool loads, produce smoother cuts and boost productivity on any existing CNC. TrueMill provides a revolutionary new toolpath engine that precisely controls the tool's engagement with the material, enabling the use of much more aggressive machining parameters, which in turn results in significantly reduced cycle times.

    The completely new tool path strategy that generates smooth, fluid tool paths, which leverage the superior motion-control capabilities of CNC machine tools. Material removal is not only much faster, but also more efficient, with less stress on the cutting tool and the machine.

    Historically CNC machines have been used to essentially do little more than automate manual machining methods. With TrueMill, since the target load on the cutting tool is never exceeded, there is no need to slow down in areas of excess material – there are no areas of excess material. Indeed, the very concept of excess material is obsolete. Feeds and speeds that previously could only be used for a straight cut along the edge of a block of material can now be safely used regardless of a parts shape, even in shapes containing acute angles.

    The toolpaths produced by TrueMill are completely free from spikes or sudden changes in tool load. Thus, machining parameters such as spindle speed, feed rate, depth-of-cut, and stepover can be used in combinations that would result in material damage or tool breakage if used with existing tool path generators.

    One of the most important aspects of TrueMill is its complete independence from the machining hardware, including the cutting tools, tool holders, the controller, and the machine tool. All things being equal, TrueMill tool paths can be driven faster and deeper than other tool paths, resulting in dramatically reduced cycle times, while extending cutting tool life.

    TrueMill is revolutionary machining technology that will change the way metal is cut. This technology dynamically manages the tools engagement with the material, such that a user-controlled maximum engagement is never exceeded. Since the engagement is controlled, the cutting tool is never overloaded. Feeds and speeds that previously could only be used for astraight cut along the edge of a block of material can now be safely used regardless of a parts shape, even in shapes containing acute angles.
