Combining properties from cemented carbide and standard cermet, the Wiper inserts in nickel-free cermet grades offer improved toughness in turning applications. The inserts are designed to perform in both dry and wet machining, in low carbon alloys (smearing materials), and at high or low speeds.
Two grades are available: CT5015, an uncoated cermet for finishing and semi-finishing, and GC1525, a redesigned coated golden color cermet for security.
